The 44th edition of FILMETS Badalona Film Festival opens the registration period for professionals as well as for the application of press credentials

The collection of press passes will be available from 19-28 October at the Zorilla Theatre.

Online registration for professionals of the short film industry and media representatives who wish to attend the 44th edition of FILMETS Badalona Film Festival (19-28 October) starts today. The venues where the festival will take place are: Zorrilla Theatre, Blas Infante Theatre, Teatre Principal, Centre Cultural El Carme, Institut Français (Barcelona) and Badalona’s public libraries.

Filmets Pro will consist of three sessions:

-) Tuesday, 23th October, Centre Cultural El Carme.

‘Coproductions Catalonia-L’Apúlia (Italy). Business opportunities’.

Entitled ‘Coproductions Catalonia-L’Apulia (Italy). Business opportunities’, within the framework of the l’Apulia Film Fund 2018/2020, this session is a unique business opportunity for Catalan producers. The session will be a meeting point to promote film projects and foster new agreements as a way to encourage the cooperation between Catalan and Italian producers from the l’Apulia region.

After a short description of the fund opened by the Apulia region as a land of cinema, the session will include a brief presentation of the projects of the region that are available for coproduction under the following categories: Fiction, Documentary, Short Film, Animation and TV format. Next, there will be a round of individual meetings between the production companies which are interested in the projects.

The session has been organized by FILMETS Badalona Film Festival, the Clúster Audiovisual de Catalunya, Distretto Produttivo Publia Creativa and l’Apulia Film Comission.

Josep Roig Boada masterclass: producer and sound engineer

The masterclass will be conducted by Josep Roig Boada, musician, composer, record producer and sound engineer from Temps Record. Free entrance.

-) Friday, 26th October: 4:30 pm, Centre Cultural El Carme.

‘Promote your short film!’

Under this title we would like to give filmmakers a chance to have access to film markets as well as to some of the most experienced professionals in the short film scene. Film markets are the best showcase to publicize and distribute your short film. Learn tips on how to promote your short and get to know the best markets in the world.

Round table attended by: Jacopo Chessa, from Centro Nazionale del Cortometraggio and director of TSFM Torino Short Film Market (Italy); Camille Hébert-Bénazet, director of the Short Film Corner at Cannes (France); Javier Muñiz, director of the Soria International Short Film Festival (Spain) and Clarissa Jacobson, producer and screenwriter (USA).
