In addition to the official section, the Festival includes all parallel activities under the OFF FILMETS programme. This comprises a series of sessions aimed at both young people and professional filmmakers. Within OFF FILMETS, we find FILMETS Pro, where the audience can enjoy industry professional talks and a masterclass.

DIGITAL FIRST: STRATEGIES AND TRENDS FOR SOCIAL-FIRST PRODUCTIONS
The shift in audience consumption habits brought about by digital windows is forcing us to rethink our audiovisual productions from the ground up. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify… Every digital distribution environment or platform has its own characteristics, its own logic and its own language. Understanding that logic will be essential to successfully devising a production in the social-first world. Video blogs, video podcasts, content creators, influencers, carousels, viral trends, stories, micro-dramas… We will identify the trends, recommendations and practices we should bear in mind, both those to apply and those to avoid.

MASTERCLASS EDUARD SUÑOL
Eduard Suñol is a 3D character animator born in Barcelona. He studied for a degree in Multimedia at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and, after a few years working as a generalist and designer, he decided to specialise in the animation industry.
Throughout his career he has developed a highly versatile profile, working across practically every area of animation: from stylised projects to realistic and live-action productions, as well as advertising and video games.
These projects have allowed him to discover first-hand how the industry works and to understand which tools, skills and attitudes can help you make your way in this sector.
He has had the opportunity to work on projects such as “The Little Mermaid”, “Borderlands”, “Heidi”, “The Strangers”, “Dragon Age” and “Gen V”, among others.

PAC ROUNDTABLE: DECONSTRUCTING REAL PRODUCTIONS
What lies behind a film that finally makes it to cinemas? Beyond the manuals and the theory, every production is a succession of difficult decisions, mistakes, sacrifices, unexpected discoveries and opportunities that turn up just when everything seemed lost.
In this session, two producers will share, with complete transparency, the real path they have taken to get their films made. Drawing on two specific cases, we will look at how the projects were financed, what obstacles they had to overcome, what they would do differently if they were starting again and what they have learnt from the whole process.
An honest conversation about the reality of producing films today, designed to offer tools, insights and experiences that are useful to emerging producers and established professionals alike. Because understanding what does not go to plan is often far more valuable than hearing how an ideal process ought to work.
