Ninetto Davoli, one of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s favourite actors, will be awarded the Premi Honorífic of FILMETS Badalona Film Festival for his long artistic career
The award “Venus d’Honor” will be given to Ninetto Davoli on Tuesday 22nd of October at 19h. The 44th edition of FILMETS, to be held between the 19th and 28th of October, will present 210 competing short films in 24 international sessions. The short films by Pier Paolo Pasolini will be showcased at the FILMETS festival in an extraordinary session of Cinema Històric supported by the Instituto Italiano di Cultura
Four short films directed by the controverted Italian director between 1962 and 1968 will be screened here, starring Ninetto Davoli, Orson Welles, Totó and Silvana Mangano, among others. FILMETS pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of the events of May 68 in France with the screening of several short films that bring us the images and the sounds of the revolution.
The screenings of this Sessió Manifest, will take place Saturday 20 October at 9 p.m. at the Zorrilla Theatre. FILMETS will show us how the students’ and workers’ movement, based in Paris, lit the fuse that started political cinema.
