The deadline to submit films will end on May 31st and fiction, animation and documentary short films, up to 30 minutes may be submitted.
The registration cost for the shorts is 5 euros, while it will be free for filmmakers from Badalona.
The registration period for short films is now open for the Official Section of the 50th edition of FILMETS Badalona Film Festival, which will be held from October 18th to 27th, 2024.
All short films up to 30 minutes long, from any of these three genres: fiction, animation and documentary, can be submitted to the festival. The Official Section includes all the films that are presented in competition and this year those will be seen at the Teatre Zorrilla in Badalona and at the Institut Français in Barcelona.
The registration deadline is May 31st. The registration cost for a short film will be 5 euros. Badalona filmmakers will have free registration. Short film registrations can be made through the Festhome and Movibeta platforms, which can be accessed directly through the festival website: www.festivalfilmets.cat.

It should be noted that all prizes defined in this 50th edition of the Festival will go together with a monetary award. Among all the recognitions that will be awarded at the 50th edition of FILMETS, it is worth highlighting the award Honor Venus to a person who has had an outstanding career linked to the history of the Festival.
FILMETS is also preparing various special actions focusing on the short film format, to commemorate the 50 editions of the Festival.
