“L’Entresol”, a project by Col·lectiu Estrats, a collective formed by four graduates of Pompeu Fabra University (Andrea, Clara, Júlia and Martina), has won the second edition of FILMETS Lab.
“L’Entresol” invites us to experience the final afternoon in a flat through the eyes of Bruna, an eight-year-old girl who has just learned that she will be forced to leave her home forever the following day. These final hours are marked by changes in daily routines and by the tension between her conflict with her mother and the reality of eviction.
“L’Entresol” was born out of a shared desire to portray the current housing situation in Barcelona. The project grew out of the final-year Audiovisual Communication degree project at Pompeu Fabra University by four students who, brought together by friendship, wanted to make a short film that reflected their ideals and addressed a current issue that resonated with all four of them.
The short film will receive mentoring and personalised guidance throughout every stage of production (screenwriting, production, filming, post-production, animation and distribution). It may also premiere as part of the programme of the 53rd edition of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival in 2027.
Meanwhile, the project “En venda”, from Aline López, received an honourable mention.
