Through the eyes of a young catalan boy with moroccan origin, ‘Hamza’ tells the story of how social integration can be favored by playing basketball.

The 44th edition of FILMETS Badalona Film Festival will open with the out of competition documentary “Hamza”, directed by Vidal Sabater and Juna Sánchez. The screening will take place Friday 19th of Octubre, at 19h, at the Teatre Zorrilla (carrer del Canonge Baranera, 17. Badalona) within the OFF FILMETS section. Free entrance.
‘Hamza’ is a documentary that tells a success story. It describes the important journey of a young catalan boy with morrocan origin, that thanks to basketball manage to find himself. The documentary highlights how basketball can favor the social integration in our society.
“Hamza” has been supported by Badalona Comunicació. Other collaborators are Masnou Basquetbol, l’Ajuntament d’El Masnou and the Federació Catalana de Bàsquet.
