The Catalan Media Corporation (CCMA) and Badalona Comunicació have signed a collaboration agreement to promote and disseminate the events of the 45th edition of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival, which will be held from 18 to 27 October. The agreement also has the aim of promoting the audiovisual industry’s short film genre.
Núria Llorach, acting president of the CCMA, and Josep Viñeta Balsells, managing director of Badalona Comunicació, signed at midday today a collaboration agreement for the promotion and dissemination of the events of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival and the promotion of short films.
Short films are the protagonists of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival, today a well established leading international festival and meeting place for filmmakers and its loyal audience, which this year reaches its 45th edition. An example of this great international recognition was its winning of the BISFF Award in 2012 for best short film festival in Europe.
CCMA, through its different programmes and spaces, will extensively follow the events of the next edition of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival, which will be held between 18 and 27 October. In addition, Canal 33 will broadcast some of the short films that have participated in recent editions of FILMETS as part of special programming dedicated to short film. Coinciding with the festival’s screenings, some of the programmes of TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio will also organise participatory experiences and events aimed at spectators and listeners.
This agreement is part of CCMA’s mission to promote and disseminate culture and its commitment to ensure coverage of major cultural events and the most noteworthy festivals through collaboration with institutions that work to foster culture, education, creation and innovation.
