The public broadcaster will be the main sponsor of the festival that will take place from 21 to 30 October.

Radiotelevisión Española in Catalonia (RTVE Catalonia) and Badalona Comunicació have signed a collaboration agreement under which the national broadcaster becomes the main sponsor of the 48th edition of FILMETS Badalona Film Festival.
Oriol Nolis, director of RTVE Catalonia, and Josep Viñeta Balsells, CEO of Badalona Comunicació, have signed this agreement whose primary objective is to promote and broadcast the activities of the FILMETS festival.
After signing the agreement, the director of RTVE Catalonia, Oriol Nolis, said that “as a public media, one of the tasks we have is focusing on anything that promotes culture and especially cinema”. “FILMETS is a consolidated festival that is growing steadily, so it is very important that RTVE is involved, providing more content every year,” he added.
For his part, the CEO of Badalona Comunicació, Josep Viñeta Balsells, explained that “we are very happy with the agreement signed with RTVE because, with this, we are completing a set of sponsoring from the whole audiovisual system in Catalonia, in a way that we already have agreements signed with La Xarxa and the CCMA, without forgetting the one we have with La Vanguardia. “With the agreement signed today with RTVE, we will ensure a wide broadcasting of all the activities that we will be doing in the next edition of FILMETS”, he added.
This 2022, FILMETS will return to its original project, based on exclusively on-site screenings for the short films in the Official Section. There will be 3 competitive venues: the Teatre Zorrilla in Badalona, the Institut français in Barcelona and the Can Castellet cinemas in Sant Boi de Llobregat.
