FESTIVAL FILMETS 2012

The 38th edition of the Festival, to be held from 16th to 25th November 2012, will have its competitive phase in the two official venues of the Festival: Teatre Zorrilla and Teatre El Círcol.
The Festival will hold the following sessions in competition:
FILMLETS IN FAMILY: session of animation films for children.
MANIFESTO: shorts related to politics and social demands.
LATE NIGHT SESSION: a session with the more cheeky and radical shorts.
GUEST COUNTRY: SOUTH KOREA: dedicated to the South Korean cinema.
YOUNG FILMLETS: projections for primary and secondary school students.
THE SEA OF FILMLETS: CINEMA OF THE MEDITERRANEAN: a session on cinematography from countries and areas of the Mediterranean.
FILMLETS FOR THE COEXISTENCE: shorts on social issues.
CINEMA FROM QUEBEC: dedicated to the cinematography of Quebec.
CINEMA FROM GALICIA: special session of the nominees and winner shorts at the Maestre Mateo's awards.
HUMAN RIGHTS: shorts on social issues.
OTHER SESSIONS
HISTORICAL CINEMA: dedicated to the films of Lluís Durà Ibanez.
BADALONA IN SHORT: shorts by authors from Badalona.
FILMETS FOR EVERYONE: short films for children and youngsters with physical and mental disabilities.
SMALL FILMETS: session to bring the little ones closer to the world of cinema.
FILMETS AT THE LIBRARIES: short sessions for children in all the city's libraries.
2012 NEW FEATURES
For the first time Filmets Badalona Film Festival gains quality in the projection system, as all the sessions at Teatre Zorilla will be screened in high definition.
This year we continue to offer the MerCATin brand, with the 2nd Catalan and International Short Film Market.
There will also be a masterclass on animation and a workshop on character creation, both by Arturo Balseiro, digital sculpting master and professional makeup and characterisation artist.
